About Founder
Hemalatha G M is a Counselling Psychologist and the founder of Disposition Psychology, with a multidisciplinary academic and professional background that bridges psychology, finance, and corporate systems.
With formal training in counselling psychology, along with a Diploma in Clinical Psychology, Diploma in Adolescent Psychology, and Diploma in Psychotherapy, Hemalatha works with individuals across life stages—children, adolescents, adults, and working professionals. Her clinical work addresses emotional, behavioural, academic, relational, and adjustment-related concerns, using ethical, client-centred, and evidence-based therapeutic approaches.
Her work with children and adolescents is informed by a strong understanding of developmental psychology, academic pressures, emotional regulation, identity formation, and family dynamics. This enables her to provide age-appropriate counselling support and parent guidance, particularly during critical developmental and transitional phases.
In addition to her psychology training, Hemalatha holds an MBA in Finance and has completed the CA Foundation, along with professional experience in the corporate sector. This academic and practical exposure gives her a nuanced understanding of organizational structures, performance expectations, leadership challenges, workplace stress, and employee wellbeing. She is able to integrate psychological insight with real-world business and corporate realities.
Through Disposition Psychology, Hemalatha and her team supports organizations, institutions, and corporate clients by designing and delivering employee counselling services, mental wellbeing programs, and workshops focused on stress management, emotional intelligence, resilience, communication skills, leadership effectiveness, and burnout prevention. Her approach aligns individual psychological wellbeing with organizational goals, productivity, and sustainable performance.
Across her practice, Hemalatha brings deep insight into various life stages and life challenges, recognizing how psychological needs evolve with age, roles, responsibilities, and environments. This integrative perspective allows her to effectively support individuals, educational institutions, and corporates through counselling, preventive mental health initiatives, and capacity-building workshops.
Disposition Psychology is founded on the belief that meaningful and sustainable wellbeing emerges when individuals and organizations understand their psychological patterns, strengthen healthy dispositions, and create supportive environments for growth.
How Counselling Works
Counselling involves confidential, one-on-one or group sessions where a trained professional helps individuals explore concerns, understand emotions and behaviors, and develop practical strategies to cope, heal, and grow over time.
